<< Matrox G400 Dual-Head. Excellent TV-OUT >>

Radeon has arguably better TV-out. Granted, this is a subjective area, but the TV-out from the ATi Rage Theater TV chip is really, really, good. Roughly comparable to a set-top DVD player, for the most part. Of course, Divx will never look as good as DVD....

Yer right, they wont. But they are damn close. A whole divx dvd movie is about 500-700 megs. A DVD is what......4 gigs? heh. Divx is damn good for its file size and quality. I have a couple divx movies that are just amazing. They are about a 1 gig in size, but damn, they do look nice, hard to tell its not a dvd.

Wasn't trying to slam Divx, just wanted to point out that showing it on a TV isn't going to make it look better.

Also, I want to suggest that you get an external scan converter rather than a new graphics card, unless you really need a new graphics card. But if you need a new card, then I still think ATi has the best TV-out.

Do a search on the forums for scan converter, there's lots of info out there.
