DIVX movie has no sound with GTXP

I don't get sound in certain DIVX movies with my Hercules GTXP.

I'm running the latest 3.02 drivers and I disabled MP3 support in the options. But I still don't get sound on certain divx movies.

Are you sure it is the fault of the card or its drivers? Maybe you just do not have the correct decoder/filter. MP3 and DivX audio (WMA crack) are included in DivX 3.11. AC3 can be enabled by registering existing DVD decoder filters (PowerDVD, WinDVD) or by fetching a filter pack from doom9.org

I am not familiar with the GTXP but am a bit baffled how or why disabling MP3 support could help.

Auric,
him disabling the mp3 acceleration in the card will help because the GTXP is trying to decode and it can't decode the divx mp3. there hercules website has more on this. i would post on it but i can't seem to get into their webpage right now. i will post more when i can get into it.

Oops, so he/she did.

PoP: Which DivX Codec are you using? Try using 4 and when setting it up it should give you the option to use it for decoding DivX 3.xx files too. Also, depending on what DivX movies you are watching, there may not be any audio.

I went to www.divx.com and downloaded the 4.12 Divx Bundle with the "The Player" DVD player.
The sound of the movie did work in Windows2000, and now I upgraded to WindowsXP. However, now in XP I disalbed the MP3 Playback option as the website says and it still does not work?

Where can I get a better Divx player?

SASAMI2k built for win2k, plays divx, wma, etc... really simple, tons of great features, free, it's money, it's so friggin money it doesn't even know it...
