The most reliable one I've found is "The Playa", which comes with the Divx encoder. The ability to change the aspect ratio is very useful, especially since I screwed up a lot of aspect ratio while learning how to encode movies. Windows Media Player will work with most Divx movies as well, but I find that it can crash when playing a lot of my older DIVX moves.
