Divinity OS: Co-op to Solo?

Is it possible to convert a save from Co-op to Solo? I started a game with a friend of mine, but he stopped playing. I don't want to start the game over again. I can load the save but I only have control of 3 of the 4 characters, because he was the fourth. Any tips?
