I notice many people really pushing their ghz up regardless of the kind of memory they are using.

How much of a performance hit is usually dealt when running a divider, particularly on the lower 100-150 end? What exactly does it entail? How would it affect something like gaming?
 
OH crap. It was right above my nose. Sorry, it is past midnight and I am a little woozy from researching my new build for a few hours! Woo. This helped a great deal.
