Divider Question!

I'm overclocking my old computer for fun.

AMD Sempron 2800+ [1.6GHz Stock. 200MHz, 8x Multiplier]
1GB Patriot [2.5-3-3-6, 1T DDR 400
DFI LanParty NF3 250GB

Now, I'm having trouble finding the divider. I had it up to 2.2GHz with it showing 203MHz on RAM, then it froze, CMOS wouldn't even reset it, it fried the OS, so I had to reformat.

I remember getting it to like 2.4GHz before I had to change the voltage. I want to keep the RAM at 200MHz since it isn't very overclockable ram.

What's a good start-up divider?

Set your ht multi to 4x , and set your ram divider to 166 to start.

and then just increase fsb and keep the multiplier low? i thought AMD's did better with higher multipliers

Higher cpu multi, lower ht multi
