Divide Overflow Error? What's this?

I keep getting this error, divide overflow error, when booting up. It happens about the time that it's supposed to go to c:\ prompt. I am using a bootup disk. I tried w/ an HDD that was formatted to boot, and it didn't work either.

It also has a problem with putting stuff on the "virtual RAM d:" - it just freezes there. What happened?
