Hey guys-
I need to make an image of one drive (we got a bunch of new machines) on to several other drives the same size. Just wondering what the best program is to use (speed wise)? I have Drive Image pro 3 here are work, but have never used it. All of the drives are IDE's and would like to do at least 3 at a time.

Thanks,
doug

IF you can get the PC's on the network with boot disks, Ghost can do a multicast and burn 'em all at once at the same speed as one. Works like a charm, I've done 20+ with no probs.

Ghost works. For such a small job the way to do it with the LEAST errors is to make a bootable CD with the drive image on it. Have it auto boot into ghost and have ghost do its stuff. (Assuming you can fit your drive image on 1 cd).

Doing a school system with 2000 computers we had to use some form of network drive imaging programs (We used them all, powercast, driveimage, etc.). However, a good 10% of them have corrupt data all over the hard drive (hiccups during image?). The ones done off of CD are all strong.
