A buddy on Facebook posted "I got smashed in the face from behind with a bottle. Five inch gash all the way through my cheek."

He was hanging out at a dive bar and was there at the wrong time. There was a fight and he got caught up in the cross fire.

Then he posted a pic of the damage....

sounds like dudes rolling into a dive bar and claiming something.

I go to dives a lot when traveling (in my rental car)...unless you are pulling out a rolex or driving up in an M3...no one is going to pay attention to you.

This is what I thought to after seeing the pic. That deep would have opened up a carotid artery right quick. Given that artery supplies the brain, you don't have long.

OP, you should put a reminder in your calendar to necro this thread and post a pic of the scar 12 months from now. It could be interesting for some to see how he healed, or if he sporting a Joker thing.

Also, did the police arrest the guy behind the attack?
 
Wow nasty! That has to hurt, and it's probably going to leave a permanent scar, though it is incredible what they can do today to fix that stuff.

Reminds me of a mythbuster's episode. They tested the bottle to the head and yeah, it's quite damaging. I think the empty bottle was worse, but I forget now.
