Ditch Accelero and put back stock fan?

Should I put back the stock fan on my x1800xt 512? It's gotta be causing some problems with my heat issues. Is it worth the noise?

Won't that wear it out? What is a good goal temperatuire for the x1800xt 512?

ps. to the original question, will the old stock fan blow on my south bridge like this accelero does?

Running a fan at its nominal speed won't "wear it out". Besides, there's a warranty.

EDIT: Why would you switch it back? The Accelero at full speed performs better than the stock cooler at full speed by a significant margin.

I have an Accelero on an x1900Xt which sets up the same as yours, get an Antec Super Cyclone exhaust fan. It lines up perfectly with the exhaust heat from the Accelero and gets all that heat out of the case . You will notice a huge difference.

SuperCyclone

If you would like I can email you a picture of how it looks in my system

It is true that the accelero is more for lower noise than supreme thermal capabilities but it still performs better than stock and a lot quieter too. I'd keep it in. The exhaust fan is a good idea if the heat from the vid card is taxing your other components. Plus...the one tallman mentioned is among the quieter ones.
