I have a friend that lives in Iran. According to her, most people there look at the US in a positive light and overall, separates it from the tensions occurring in the middle east.

iran is an interesting country. Teheran is very modern and western, it can easily pass for any city in europe. on the other hand its sad that its ruled by a so few men that are scared of the west and women.

Whew....for a minute there, I thought it was going to be pictures of some beheadings or maybe an 11 year old rape victim being stoned to death...Now that we have seen these pictures, we will never see any more disturbing pics of this nature from there...I for one am relieved.

And maybe even Iranian women will have the same freedoms and rights as they enjoy here!!!! Great progress OP!!!

I know a few Iranians too who tell me a lot about it. I would love to visit. They said that if you go there with an Iranian and stick with them, you'll be fine and can go to parties and what not. If you go alone it's pretty sketchy because you don't know when some government guy might arrest you for being a spy.

They have a very young population who want western opportunities and lifestyles. They want to be educated, have jobs, have fun, etc. It's just a shame their government sucks.
