I was very excited about the movie. But I left the movie thinking that apart from the occasional good humor, the only good scenes were the first two.
After those first two scenes, which were great and showed serious acting, it went down hill. The main character's acting didn't seem as good. The Matrix mom was too Matrix to be a believable mom.
There were some stupid things in the movie. As a punishment his mom cut the power cord to his LCD TV. Wow, hundreds of dollars thrown away like nothing. She also, somehow, cut off his Xbox-live. And this one gets me. She kicked him out of itunes. I guess he was under her account. Every excuse to get him to look at his neighbors.
This movie is teeny-bopper mania. This girl gets into the picture and the way they film the girl, she couldn't get enough of fixing her swimsuit. They always filmed the main character and the girl in such a teeny-cliche fashion that it ruined the scenes. There was NO chemistry there. It was all about looking cool with cliche movements and cliche, cliche, cliche!
Then all of sudden, after some snooping around, the killer, suddenly, goes on a killing spree - forcing the movie into a close.
The movie was funny, and it was suspenseful, but some of the acting, cast, and story elements seemed out of place. I'd wait for the DVD release.
