CHECK YOUR CLIENTS!!!

For those that are new to the project or don't know - They update the client weekly to allow for new proteins. Unless you have it setup to auto-update you will be sitting idle:Q Even if you have it setup for auto-update it may have already timed out:| causing your client to turnoff!(at least it did to a couple of mine :disgust: )

There seems to be a problem with their servers or are just really really really slow right now as I am only getting 3.5KB/s on my download of the client🙁 so hang in there as hopefully it will clear-up so we can get the updates.

Thanks CKG I got an email about this today also. I just started up my computer and the client,which is set to autoupdate, is still running fine so we'll see what happens when it uploads again.
 
2 out of 3 programs (4th I don't know about) didn't autoupdate/restart cleanly and one is a dual processor (only 1 of the 2 programs updated/restarted cleanly)

Yeah Muttley - Dually machines seem to have issues with restarting both clients. I have mine to run as a service (twice 😉 ) and it only restarts 1 🙁

I think their server isn't as clogged anymore as i just popped back into work to make sure the updates took (none did 🙁 and someone shut off 1 of the machines:| - gonna kick his @ss tommorow😉 ) and so i had to update them manually and it was quicker than it was this afternoon.

Hmmm. Just curious. Is Distributed Folding the same as Folding @ Home? Or is it a separate/distinct project on it's own right?

Yes they are separate projects. Folding@home 2.0 and Distributed Folding.

Sorry for any confusion mgpaulus. Distributed Folding updates their clients weekly whereas Folding@home does not. So the behavior I was talking about was directed towards the Distributed Folding project only.
