Distributed DES cracking

Between all the other distributed computer project please take a look at http://desstats.daychanged.com
As a part of the course "Computer networks and security" at Abo Akademy University we are trying to break des in about a month using distributed cracking, but it is going too slow and we really need more cpu power so if you have any spare cpu power please download the client and join us.

56bit DES can be cracked in under 24 hours with less than $100kUSD worth of hardware. What's the point?

I'm not trying to say this project isn't worth it over all, just curious.

It's a project, we coded the server and clients and we are just trying to brake des with ordinary computers and we have ALOT of fun... =)
