Distortion present on burned CD from distortion-free MP3 files?

I've been attempting to burn some CDs from MP3 files using both MusicMatch Jukebox v. 5.x as well as Feuriol CD-Manager v. 1.5. However, after burning the CD from what appear to be decent, non-distorted sounding MP3 files when listening to the resulting CD there seems to be a lot of distortion. Can anyone offer a solution to the problem. There doesn't seem to be any setting from within either of the software recording programs to adjust the amplitude or volume of the resulting burn. Being really new to CD creation I guess I need a little bit of leadership.

TIA,

Ken

i haven't actually used either of the software you mentioned to burn audio cds. but i have used musicmatch for ripping mp3s and file conversions. using musicmatch, try Options->File->Convert and convert the files to .wav manually, then burn the .wavs, see if that makes a difference. i never had a need to use it myself, but i can gaurantee that there will be at least one reply saying "get Nero" :)

Actually I find the brand of CDRs u use affect sound quality as well... I personally think Maxell, Sony, HP are the best...

I have used other brands such as BASF stuff, and they gave me cracks and other distortions in my music...
