Distorted display while gaming

PC = MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum SLI & Athlon 64 3000+ 939 & one BFG 6600GT OC & ?

Everything is smooth except while playing games the display gets distorted. I tried with latest graphics & chipset drivers and DirectX 9.0c. My PSU (SMPS) is rated 450W, but its main power connector has only 20 pins. Could it be that the MoBo is not getting the power that it needs as its power slot is 24 pin?
