Dear All,

I want replace a broken hinge on my laptop. I own an ASus A52F
I want to know how to remove the top bezel above the keyboard.

Please could someone post the manual that was posted by Jake97 a year ago or direct me in teh right direction. Asus support have refused to help me in anyway only to buy new hinges. I can't access the guide.

Thank in advance.

edit: found a guide through google image search that describes the keyboard/top bezel removal

old: I couldn't find any place providing a guide for the ASUS A52F, so I will describe a generic disassembly to the best of my ability

usually opening a laptop up requires:
remove all the screws (sometimes you don't need to do this)
pry gently at where the seperate plastic bits meet

to remove the hinge/screen, usually you have to:
remove the keyboard
detach the cables connecting the screen-half to the base-half
unscrew the screws attaching the screen to the base

this should probably go in either the SFF/notebooks or computer help forum though edit: it's already found in computer help, hah 😉 well in that case, posting the same thread in multiple forums is usually frowned upon
