*Disregard - Thanks for the replies* XP "Preload" Legality Question...

What's the most affordable way to legally get them up and running with Win XP (Home edition would be fine)?

I've seen XP COAs listed on Price Watch for $63... But, really what good is that? Still no way to install it. And even if you could, I don't think that would be legit, as they wouldn't have their own CD?

Also, what about for small businesses, can they obtain legit XP copies for less? If so, how?

Really appreciate any input on this. 🙂

you can get a COA for a whole lot less than that, last itme i think i paid $25? and just download a cd or make a copy. the cd means nothing the COA is what gives you the right to install the program. if it's legit then you legal.

Wrong forum: a quick search or posting in the OS forum would have easily solved this.

OEM is probably the cheapest though.

COA will be fine if you have a copy of the same version for the COA.

Thanks for the replies. That's what I needed to know. 🙂

Yeah, I guess I did post this in the wrong forum... I forgot about the OS forum. 😱
