for some reason, the displayport cant hold a signal:
when i turn off the monitor, the computer automatically disconnects the display, when i turn it on, the display reconnects
the same monitor using dvi and vga does not do this
(is this a feature in DP?)
monitor: dell p2310h
video card: sapphire radeon 5670
running xp pro, with latest ati drivers 10.8
the back story is i was using hdmi to dvi (dual dvi monitor setup) to hook up to second monitor
i took the plunge and got a DP cable for the second monitor freeing up a dvi port from the monitor to hook up my 360 on it
(before, i had a hdmi switch that outputs to monitor via hdmi<->dvi adapter, with 2 inputs to computer and 360)
