I did a search here and did not find anything posted in the past year
that answers this question direct and clean.
Does Nvidia 700 class, specifically the 780 and 780Ti fully support
DisplayPort MST (Multi Stream Transport)?
I did search on Nvidia's site on the cards in question Spec sheet and all
that is mentioned there is Displayport 1.2. NOT MST.
The forums there after searching provided no clear answers either. (as of t his post)
I am considering, not 4k, in the near future but rather something that has a max of 2560x1440 screen res (Phillips Ultra Wide monitor) or 2560x1080 (LG ultrawide) and both specify MST must be supported by the video card to work properly in certain modes, such as multi display mode/
I hope someone here can answer yay or nay on MST support or offer
any grey area information.
I've been a Nvidia user (last 3 years GTX580, and very happy) for over a decade and this recent investigation is having me consider AMD, reason, I hear they support better what I may be concerned with in the near future.
MST support is a must.
