Displayport 1.2 cables?

I can't seem to find any that are at least 15 ft. I have an asus vg248qe cable, and I could just buy a long dual link dvi cable, but I'd prefer displayport because the cables seem a bit smaller and I slide them under some objects. (PC is in the closet)


any ideas if these exist?

When you exceed 15 ft, you lose bandwidth, and thus, resolution. But, the max length is 15 meters. Here is one for 10 meters - maybe a decent compromise for 1080p TV.

Most DisplayPort cables that are rated for 2560x1440 or higher resolutions need to be under six feet... but if you are doing 1080p only I think 15ft will be fine and the above DP in the link is should work. But if you plan on going higher resolutions you may not get a picture.

You can get dual link dvi cables from rosewill on amazon for 15$ that are 25ft and work at 1920x1080 144hz

Its not strictly speaking DP1.2 certified, but its rated at 1600p.
