Display won't show proper resolution

I just installed a new XFX Double D FX-795A-TDJC Radeon HD 7950 3GBCard and my 30" Dell 3007wpf won't show any thing more than 1200/800 resolution.
I have reloaded the Catalyst drivers and Windows 7 update drivers for the monitor to no avail. Dell doesn't have anything on their Web Site and the original install disk doesn't recognize the monitor.
Any suggestions? Thanks for looking.

That resolution is due to a limitation in single-link connections. You may be using a single-link cable, or HDMI, or the single-link port on your video card. Any of those would limit you to those resolutions.

To go to native resolution, use a dual-link connection. First verify you are using a dual-link DVI cable (or displayport etc.). Then, if you are using a dual-link DVI cable, verify you are using the dual-link DVI port of the video card. Your card says:
2 x DVI (1 Single Link, 1 Dual Link), so maybe you are using the single instead of the double.

You were right on the money. I didn't know there was a difference. DVI-D dual link
cable fixed it.
I sincerely thank you for the help.
