OK, as you probably already know, that I got a new computer and everything,....well i was just looking around the nVidia Control Panel of the nVidia Forceware 93.71 display drivers...just checking out the options and everthing, although i did NOT save anything when I quit it....well, the next time I started windows, I had a surprise waiting for me....
as soon as I logged onto my user in windows xp, for a split second I would see a few 'dots' of the screen, and then the screen would turn off, but the computer itself remains on....that is, only the display turns off....(but once even the computer itself rebooted after the display went out)..
So, I tried going into Safe Mode, and now it worked fine....I tried Safe Mode with VGA...and again it was fine....but the normal boot made the screen turn off after I log into windows....
So I went into safe mode, and reinstalled 93.71 nVidia forceware drivers...and now everything is OK....the display doesnt go away in normal mode....
My question is,...is this behavior normal for nVidia cards ? Because this is the first time I am using a high end Graphics card myself
....is this normal ??
Also, I made a small video of the screen turning off..here it is:
