hey guys... so this is my query ....if i buy a display that sports a nvidia 3d vision logo on it ..... then will it be able to support my 6850 too? because i don't think if amd updates it's list of hd3d displays properly..... i mean all the HD tvs mentioned there are way too costly ....so maybe u all know something about it....

From what I've read, this will not work. I have a Samsung 2233RZ 3D vision display and a 5850. Even if you could get 3D to display on the monitor using a driver like the IZ3D driver (I'm not even sure it will do that) you would need a set of compatible shutter glasses and IR emitter, which I don't think exist outside of the nvidia variety.

If you want to do 3D on a monitor it looks like you will be locked into the nvidia "ecosystem" for the immediate future. I think I read that some AMD-compatible displays were coming (they will have to be HDMI 1.4 compatible) but I don't know of any specifics around release dates and such.

I don't know a lot about 3D TVs but I CAN do 3D to my Optoma HD66 DLP projector. I would imagine that would work with any 3D capable DLP TV - you just need DLP link glasses.

ok ... this is too much for me to take...what's the difference between dlp hdtv and dlp projector?......n do the dlp link glasses that u're telling me to use come along with that hdtv or projector or it has to be bought separately?.....

i guess i should write in my sig that i'm still new to all the technology that's discussed here so pardon my wat maybe stupid or too obvious queries.....

Hardware heaven are the only site I know that test AMD HD3D. So they will tell you which monitors work.
