Display right for me?

Hello!

Well, I'm in the market for a new monitor and I've pretty much narrowed it down to two monitors that have interested me and look like a good fit for me. I've decided to go with a CRT monitor as I've read over and over again CRT's out perform LCD's in gaming, which I do a lot of. Althought if theres LCD's that are good for gaming please let me know. I only want to spend around $200-250, so I'm not expecting the greatest monitor on the market.

what I'll use this monitor for:
  • Gaming
  • Photoshop
  • Some video editing
  • web surfing

what I want from this monitor: (keep in mind I'm on the computer a lot)
  • Clear picture
  • No eye strain if possible

Now with that being said, heres the two monitors I've narrowed it down, although not limited too.

ViewSonic G90FB $220 vs. ViewSonic E90FB $210

I'm using a GeForce 6800gs, anymore questions/specs needed just let me know. And again, if theres an LCD monitor you recommend that'll fit my needs please do let me know.

-Thanks

For Viewsonic products, I believe G series is better than E series.
However, I really don't think it's time to buy CRT monitor now. There are LCD monitors with only 3ms or 4ms response time, they should be no problem in your game.

So your saying that LCD's are pretty much matched up with CRT's now so its better to get an LCD?

Absolutly not. LCD's have a long way to go to catch up with CRT's. They still smoke LCD's in photoshop and gaming as they have much deeper colors and zero lag.If you are very critical of color accuracy, stick with a CRT.
Google the difference of the 2, you'll see.
The ONLY two things LCD's do better then CRT's is weigh less and save space.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up.

I'm still looking for more opinions and feedback.
