Display Problems with my HTPC & Plasma Screen

I just recently bought a 42in plasma and am having display problems with my htpc. There is a green bar on the left side of the screen and the whole picture seems shifted to the right. The picture seems shifted to the right also. I have the pc connected to the tv by a dvi cable on my XFX 6600GT. The tv doesn't have controls to move your picture around like a computer monitor does. It only has some aspect ratios you can change (wide, normal, zoom ,ect...). The green bar shows up no matter matter which ratio i put it in. I have all the latest updates to media center and have the december 05 build of nvidia drivers.

Another thing strange thing is i don't seem any signal at all on the plasma until windows boots up. I don't seem the computer booting up or anything. I don't know if this is normal

According to the docs on the plasma it supports the following over the VGA port
640x480/60hz
800x600/60hz
1024x768/60hz

and the following over the dvi port:
Suggested scan rates: 640X480/60Hz,
800 X 600/60Hz,
1024X768/60Hz

Ok when i change to anything other than 640x480/60hz i get a signal not found on the plasma. I have changed it to 800x600 & 1024x768 and get no signal. It was set at 60hz refresh every time.

When i boot up the computer it tells me the resoultion is not set correctly. I have went through media center tv setup thing and that didn't help.

Here is my tv:

Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks,

Try 1280x720 at 60hz. You might have to uncheck the "Hide modes this monitor cannot display" option in the advanced display properties to get the option.
