Display problem with certain games

I've recently found that when playing a game such as Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorrow, multi colored blotches appearing in a line pattern appear on the bottom and right side of the screen. This also happens in 3DMark05 as well. I don't know what the problem is though.
 
Do you have a different video card you can try? What video card do you have currently?

Additionally...have you had any heat problems, power surges, or other technical issues lately?

It sounds to me like your card was damaged somehow...either from overheat, a good solid whack from something, or power issues.

Edit: Does it take time for these to start appearing? Try opening your case and ensure that the video card heatsinks and cooler are properly seated, if you haven't done so already.
 
The thing is, I only get this error when playing Pandora Tommorrow. Doom 3 is fine, HL2 is fine, BF2 is fine. My card is barely a month old and the highest temp on my card is only 66C. I have an MSI X800 and as far as I know the card is fine.
