Display problem w/java in web browsers

Has anyone else run into this problem? Whenever a website causes java to be loaded into a browser (Firefox or IE), my screen gets a slight, but very noticeable, blur. When the browser is closed and java unloads, the screen goes back to normal. This occurs with Sun Java 2 V 1.4.2_05-b04, on both Firefox 1.0 and IE6. Video drivers are NVIDIA 66.93. This has occurred on a Mitsubishi 22" Diamondtron 2040u and a Gateway 19" VX900T. Any ideas how to solve this?

Thanks,

Steve

I don't know off the top of my head but I remember that this issue has been discussed (and solved, I think) around here before. Try searching around these forums fairly thoroughly, because it is there.

In the mean time, upgrade your jre. Everything prior to 1.4.2_06 has a relatively important security hole.
