Display Port vs. Mini Display Port vs. HDMI for Monitor?

Is there any difference in terms of quality when using these different setups? I hooked up my Dell U2415 yesterday and the first cord I grabbed was the Mini Display port. Looks great, but was curious if it makes more sense to use the regular sized Display Port cord, or HDMI instead? Any difference in terms of quality like there was with DVI/VGA?

all digital so quality is the same, but hdmi (sans 2.0) can only go up to 4k 30hz resolution, whereas DP/minidp can go up to 4k 60hz.

DP and mini dp are exactly the same except for the connector but unless you are running a 4k monitor any of those should provide the same quality.

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
