Probably a stupid question but will the below work to add a third monitor to my 6970 or do I need a mini-display port to full size display port adapter/cable set to connect? I have a Dell U2211h that I want to hook this up to in addition to one 24" via DVI and a 23" via HDMI.

Thanks!

EDIT*
I assume something like this cable would also work?

If you use the DP->DVI adapter it's probably going to try to send a DVI signal over it which the card can only send 2 of. The 24" DVI and 23" HDMI monitor will already be using both the available DVI signals.

Best approach is the get the 2nd cable (mini DP -> DP) and connect your U2211h by DisplayPort.

you may want to consider the 6' version. if you have multiple displays next to each other, there isnt much room to the side of the monitor cluster for the pc case. I keep my system on the floor so i ordered the 6'.

^ Good spot, gorobei. Cable length is an issue, even for closely-aligned displays like my MD230x3.
