Display issue with Ryzen APU when using Sata PCI Card

I was trying to configure a Ryzen 2200G with a Asrock B350 Pro 4. I have also added a 4 port PCI sata card. After configuring the drivers and installing the AMD display driver, the W10 login screen looks like this:

If I login, the computer will automatically reboot after 20 seconds. If I remove the sata card, the login screen will display correctly.

Does anybody know what would cause this or know of any motherboard that would allow for a Sata card to be added and not cause any issues? I bought 2 of the Pro 4's and both had the same issue, so I'm hesitant of buying another board, even another model because of it having the same issue.

Thanks

I had basically the same issue (posted in this thread).

I was never able to get the SuperMicro card to work and ended up going with an LSI LSI00244 (9201-16i) that was 50% off at NewEgg at the time.

Both motherboard and card manufactuers suggested changing the PCI boot mode in the BIOS from UEFI to Legacy, but this had no impact for me.

Since it looks like you only need a few extra drives, I’d suggest researching and perhaps purchasing one of the rebadged and/or LSI branded 8-port cards that can be flashed to IT mode (IBM, Dell, HP, and Lenovo all have some under their branding). There are tons of resources out there on these and I think you’ll have better luck with LSI compatibily and support. They can be had fairly readily for $50-100.

Do be careful if purchasing from ebay however, that you purchase from a reputable seller that will allow returns in the case of continued incompatibility issues.

Good luck!
