display issue while new site is downloading

When reading reviews on the new site, the main part of each page displays in the same greyish green that is on the left & right edge until the page finishes downloading. (I guess this is when the javascript runs)? After it finishes downloading the background of the main area changes to white. This happens even if the images are already cached & I hit reload. The black text on dark greyish green is really hard to read for that second or 2 until the background updates.
