Display Driver

Hi !!

This may sound bit outdated but I have a PROBLEM !!

I have installed a Game on my PIV by the name of Soldner (For my Nephew).

It requires 64MB Display RAM but my machine has Integrtaed VGA Adapter.
Mother is ASROCK with Intel Chipset is i845G.

I have installed the Diplay Driver that came with the Board but it shows only 8MB RAM for Display. Also BIOS dosnt have any setting for Display Memory though it has Aperture Size.

I want to Increase the Display memory to 64MB what should I do ??

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Buy a separate video card for either PCI slot or AGP slot for your motherboard that has sufficient memory for your game. Look in your motherboard manual to see what slot types you have.

Go to the ASRock web site and check the support section for your mother board to see if you can find the answer to your question.

Probably the best solution is as wpshooter stated. Get a separate video card for your system and disapble your onboard video.

no. besides, even if you increase it to 64mb, he integrated intel extreme graphics wont play it anyway buying a budget $30 card will be about 2-3x as fast as that anyway.
