This is what i've done so far. Before hand i never experienced this problem untill i left my PC overnight rendering a movie. i woke up. working fine
But when i restarted i got some blue screen. i didn't see what it said exactly and i don't know how to locate the dump files. however, i was continuously getting the error on the topic so i uninstalled drivers. then it was working fine. tried reinstalling. same problem again, so i restored my PC back to a date i knew it was working. didn't work. i then thought well it;s the last resort so ill reformat. PC was starting to get a tad full anywho. So i reformatted. installed the latest nvidia drivers. SAME problem again. at this point i was fearing the worst. my 460gtx which was only around 4 months also was dieing on me. so i thought i'd install the drivers that CAME with the card and the utilities. some doctor software that keeps an eye on my card etc. i also changed the physixs processing from AUTO to GPU on the nvidia control panel. this was just this morning i did this. so i left my pc on from 7:00AM and came to work. i phoned my mum to see if my computer was still on and it was. HOWEVER, i haven;t seen the computer since i left. but my computer yesterday was freezing and crashing. my mum could still click and navigate around the GUI. i have little faith of it working tonight at 5:30 when im in from work but i shall keep you updated. you can also try the things i used however reformatting doesn't work i don't think because of recieving the same problem once again after everything was installed.

I was also thinking. Could it be a problem with minimum power going to the card? the card i use is an Asus 460gtx 728mb ram (or close to) 336 cores? and i think it REQUIRES a 420W PSU but a maximum on 160W usuage on the card. i have a 520W modular powersuply.

HELP please

My spec is
Intel i3 2.9GHZ processor
4GB DD3 corsair dominator 1600mhz
gigabyte motherboard (Can't seem to find it online will get the details when im home)
Kingwin ABT-520MA1 520W Modular Power Supply

460GTX 700+MB DDR5 ram 3300+Mhz

Your PSU should be fine, especially when it had been fine for the pass months. In short, the card seems to be defective. Check with its manufacturer and request a RMA.
