Display corruption problem

Hey,

I built my pc about a month ago and its been running fine up to now (it got through the whole of doom 3 on high detail without any problems) but now its started playing up. Occasionally the display will corrupt, looking like the top left corner of the original display at really low resolution and detail. The rest of the pc continues to function correctly except for the mouse, where the pointer behaves as it should but left/right clicking has no effect. The problems are rectified by alt-F4ing out of any program and restarting windows, but only until it happens again.
It seems to occur mostly while playing Dawn of War, but not solely and after anywhere from 30mins to 3 hours, so the problem can't be related to the game.
The most annoying thing is its impossible to predict when the problem will occur, which makes testing any changes I've made very difficult, as it could go for a couple of days without it rearing its ugly head.
I've tried a few things, but would be willing to try anything anyone thinks might help, so please let me have me any ideas you've got.
