My computer hasn't been acting right ever since I installed my CD burner. There is no sound, I tried to reinstall the sound driver but still no luck. My resolution is stuck on 600x400 and when I try to change it in the control panels, nothing happens after I restart it. I also tried reinstalling the driver but no luck either. I dont know if it has anything to do with the burner or not. any ideas out there. i'd appreciate it you can also email me. thanks. Text

You might try to disconnect the burner temporarily and see if the problem goes away. That way you know for sure that it is causing your problem.

Also, have you lost all sound or are you only not getting sound from CD's in the burner? To get sound from that you will need to run an audio cord from the burner to your sound card.

Hope you get it worked out.

hey thanx for the suggestion, i'll try unplugging the burner when i get home from work. but i'm not getting any sound ouput. No system sounds...i can't even play my mp3's on my hard drive. winamp says that the output plugin is missing.
