Disneyland vs. Disney World

I've only been to Disneyland in CA, how does it compare to Disney World in FL.

Disney World in FL is much larger with more rides, especially if you consider that there are 4 major Disney parks in FL now, along with a host of minor parks (water parks, etc).

And Epcot is a great place to have sex. 😛

:camera:'s NOW!!!!!

Disney world is great for kids but for us older folks it's roller coasters and there is a bush garden around that area or at least was last time I was there. 😀

Yep...you can fit a few Disney Land's in Disney World's parking lot.

One of the only things I remember from my trip besides getting stung by a bee while waiting to get in.

I've been to both, and I honsetly think DisneyLAND was nicer. It doesn't have as much, but most of what's missing is filler, I didn't need a bus to get around the place, and it seemed cleaner somehow.

I was amazed at the small footprint of Disneyland. It was a short walk to any of the rides. Hell the parking lot was larger than the theme park.. 🙂 it was still fun though. I also went to Universal Studio's in L.A. and enjoyed that even better.

Some interesting info about disney world...

Linky

Some of my favorites:

At Rose and Crown Dining Room and Pub in World Showcase (United Kingdom), a specially designed ale warmer can heat your Guinness to 13°C (55°F), the temperature favoured by the Irish.

Covering 122 square kilometres (47 square miles), Walt Disney World is about the size of the city of Ottawa! Of the more than 12,140 hectares (30,000 acres) total Resort size, less than one-fourth has been developed. Fully one quarter has been designated as a wilderness preserve.

Does anyone remember the trivia fact about how many countries can fit in the space of disney world? 😛

In the same token you could fit Epcot, MGM Disney, and Magic Kingdom in Disney World Parking Lot. Their parking lot is bigger than the most of the parks.

I liked both Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando better.

is disney land the only one with space mountain?

Nope, the both have it but Disneyland space mountain is better.
Also only Disneyland has the Matterhorn.

I was amazed when I first went to Disneyland and realized how small it was compared to Disneyworld. It kind of took away the magic of going to a special place when you can see the rides from the Dennys across the street.

Good point. You actually "feel" like you're in another world at DW.

My mother-out-law bought us all a trip to Disney World- leaving in two weeks. So, the good news:

- We all get to go to Disney World for a week for free.

Bad news:

- By all, that included my mother-out-law. :|

To give you an idea of what she's like, picutre a taller, thinner version of Ray Ramono's mother from "Everybody Loves Raymond".

Ugh. Hopefully I'll get to see Mickey Mouse before I perform Hari Kari.

How can anyone vote for DIsney Land? DL is just a stand alone theme park. DW is gigantic. Magic Kingdon, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, etc. Better in every way and sooo much more to do.
