Anyone know how these work for Military Discount tickets or Costco purchased tickets for south california?

Does that just mean you have to be military to purchase at the base and anyone you give the tickets to can use it to get in?

I think your name is on it, and they check IDs at the gate. That's the way it worked for us a Disneyworld.

I was at Disney World in Jan 2010, and Disneyland in Sept 2010. For DW, the ticket was a plastic card, similar to a visa card, that was scanned through a machine and matched to your thumbprint. In DL, the ticket was paper, scanned with a bar code reader, and had to be signed by you. I do not recall seeing my name printed on either ticket, they got 'tied' to me when I attached my thumb print to the DW ticket and signed the DL ticket. In DL, they never matched the signature to my ID, though its not like they could read it anyway. 😛 At DW, they checked my drivers license for a split second and let me pass through when the ticket machine spat the plastic card out and scanned my thumb print.

At both locations, there were rent 'a' cop security people that were taking looks inside backpacks, hip packs, stroller bags, etc. Not very thorough searches, open bag, shine a flash light in, move along.
