i just watched aladdin tonight and i was like wow. just wow. Fantastic movie with cartoons that were actually drawn. When was the last time disney put out a quality movie that wasn't computer animated?
I understand the nostalgia for hand-drawn movies. Unfortunately a lot of the public doesn't understand and while Disney would like to remain true to its roots it has to please shareholders as well. Cell-animation is now pretty much a dinosaur at Disney, not to mention way more expensive to produce than computer animated films. I go by the empty animation studio every day at MGM while going to work and, in a way, it's shame. However, adhering to that nostalgia is like holding fast to the horse and buggy after cars were invented.Originally posted by: Wheatmaster
