Disney Infinity Cancelled

I mean, Skylanders started sooner and is still around with overpriced plastic. I hope it dies next, actually. amiibo and their poorly implemented existence may show themselves out, too. All of it is the most expensive DLC ever, and I hate it. The things probably cost a nickel or less to make.

My piles of Amiibo to trade.

Paid $5 each. Actually, several were $2.50 each.

Huh, I thought the Infinity thing was actually making money

I wonder if the lego equivalent is doing better... that one's a bit newer

I doubt it. Looks like it was really just getting started and Disney/Pixar/Marvel had a lot more fan bases to draw from for characters/figurines.

Really surprised by this.

This was part of Disney completely exiting the video game market. They shut down all their studios and Infinity was a part of it. IMO they figured licensing was a much more lucrative option for them. There are no costs involved on their side and no risk.

We have about $1500 in figures. We really enjoyed them and it gave my girls an intro to console games and Star Wars. Sad to see it go.

The Infinity system is terrible. Neat concept but the "gameplay" if you can call it that SUCKS. You keep throwing money at it hoping it will get better, but it still sucks. Good riddance.

I must say I am sad to see it go. The first iterations were pretty janky, I'll admit, but the more recent ones have actually been pretty fun and enjoyable.
