Diskless ECCp-109 node?

I do RC5 too and Klinux has really spoiled me... Anybody put together something similar for ECCp-109? I've been playing around with it, but if somebody out there already has, it would save me the time.

Thanks!

I think MereMortal has something like this using trinux. He should be along after awhile to help you.

Diskless ECCp has been done, however not by me, and only on a case by case basis. I'm guessing it would be difficult if not impossible to make a general release disk because of all the drivers that would be necessary. I believe that is why klinux has different release versions.

That being said, RC has had success by modifying the trinux distribution, so you may want to check out trinux. I don't know the size of the Dnet client as compared to the ECCp CLI client and supporting files, so I can't say how easy it would be to modify klinux.

ECCp should be easier than RC5 because the client is signficantly smaller. We're talking approximately 67K v. 580K.

I've been playing around with Freesco (because I'm the most familiar with it).

I've gotten RC5 to run quite nicely in Freesco before, and even on a floppy (with a lot of the frills deleted to make room). So I went through the same procedure to get ECCp to try, but there is something very wrong. Freesco acts like the file isn't even there. Can't execute it (yes I've changed permissions). Not sure what the deal is -- I've a couple things to try.

I'll look into Trinux... Interestingly enough, trinux.org is down right now; I'll try to find a mirror.
