I've ran diskkeeper (defragmenter) a few times recently. I've noticed the first time I run it on a drive it gets only about 50% of the drive defragged. So I run it a number more times but it only improves by maybe 1% each time. Is this normal? and if it is what other defragger works better?

that could very well be the problem, diskeeper works best if you have atleast 15% free space. if you have a second drive with free space you could always try to move stuff on to it temporarily to get the main one defragged then move the stuff back little by little. might be a pain to do it that way but it could help, or if you have a CD burner just burn stuff (if you can take the data off of your computer)
