diskeeper lite reports frequent fragmentation

I built a new system recently; go a refurb Intel D865PERL mobo, added Intel P4 2.4, 1 gB ram pc2700, fsb at 400 mHz, single 80gB WD HDD. Everything works great, except... a copy of DK lite came on the Intel system setup disk, so I installed it. Wondering if that was any different from WinXP system defrag, but it was free, so...

Anyway, I am getting a DK message that the disk is severly fragmented about every other day seems like. Also includes a nag to upgrade to DKPro. I did a couple of defrag which ran in 20 minutes or so (very little on this disk other than WinXP & MsOffice)

Seems that DKLite has replaced the MS System Defrag, but there is no way in Add/Remove programs to uninstall it (not listed), and no uninstall routine was provided with it.

A. Anyone seen anything like this? Is it just a buy-me feature?
B. Anyone have any tips for how I can run MS System DEfrag or another utility to verify these 'dire' warnings?
C. Anyone know the Q&D to getting rid of DK Lite?

Maybe DiskKeeper is referring to the pagefile. Have you tried setting the Virtual Memory/Pagefile to 0, rebooting, then defragmenting? When that's done, you can set the Pagefile to whatever you like (custom, system managed, etc.).

A good program for defragging the pagefile is PageDefrag by Sysinternals and it's FREE.

Thanks for the advice.
DKLite is reporting about 70% fragmentation, so its probably more than the PageFile, but this sounds like a good way to get that ruled out.

Disk use is only about 7%, but thats still a lot of files to be fragmented. The computer is being used by the wife for only email (Outlook 2002) and Internet (IE6.x). Never had this issue with the same software load on the previous mickey-mouse Gateway machine, and it had only a 20gB HDD. Defrag'd that one regualrly about once per month, along with Temp file cleanups, etc. We run anti-spyware (2 flavors - MS and Xoft) plus Nav5.0 and ZoneAlarm, and generally get a clean bill of health, so I can't see issues arising from external sources.

Found a reg hack for uninstall on DK's website.
Holy moly what a messed up utility! I used to think this util was a great tool.
Now, I am not so sure.
Will try this tonite, even though I greatly dislike working this way in the registry, the
first part is a simple copy in order to use the RUN option and engage the uninstaller.
No help at all from the FAQs (done previous to this first entry) on the frequent reports a severe fragmentation.
