this is really sad... my IBM Ultrastar 9ZX is getting <1800 on this benchmark.... I know the drive is old (more than 5 years), but it is a 10020rpm scsi drive... it has served me well and I think it is time to replace it....

my new 250GB Seagate 7200.8 gets almost 9000

Anything I can do to breathe life into this old SCSI of mine... it is the last SCSI HDD that I have and use... all my other SCSI drives are CD/DVD based...

2211 on a IDE w/ 30gb
2450 on a IDE w/ 20gb
2975 on a IDE w/ 20.5 gb

These are all drives that came outa the garbage.

i keep getting a score around 500-600...wtf? i have a 7200rpm 80gb seagate barracuda with 8mb of cache (name is ST380013AS in device mgr.) i haven't noticed any problems, maybe this test and my drive don't work well together

First test 6699

last run 2799 after 4-5 tests

weird.

Maxtor 30 gig 7200 RPM drives on a raid 0 array (This is my back up computer, my GOOD computer is downstairs...)

My results are based on the average of three consecutive trials:

7803 - Hitachi 160gig SATA

1594 - 5- 15k rpm 4.3gig ultra wide SCSI (dual p2 300mhz)
