I have a hard drive that is partitioned into several disks. I have tried putting this hard drive as a slave on a win2k machine and also a win2003 machine. On any machine, it doesnt recognize the partition. It used to work fine..

now I get a message stating "disk is not formatted" however in disk management it appears healthy.

How can I recover the data or even access the data I used to have on it? Thank you.

fat32 vs ntfs? That's my only guess.

And tell me where are you having the problem with the drive? If your bios doesn't even recognize it, you're in trouble. Check the drive with the manufactuer diagnostics software on their websites

the bios sees it.. but just in disk management it thinks its an 'unrecognized' drive
