disk imaging/conversion

My first attempt was using DriveImage XML and while it seemed to work, ~40 minutes later my final drive was a mangled mess with no proper directory structure.

I'm trying to copy an old fat32 drive to ntfs, however I am trying to keep the directory structure/date stamps intact, normal copy will destroy the directory stamps, any other free alternatives that'll handle this?

ntbackup? or if you want to stay on the same drive try the convert command line utility.
