Disk imaging/cloning tool

Hi,

I'm looking for a free disk imaging/cloning tool that can create standard ISO images of HDDs/SSDs connected over SATA or USB. I've googled around a few such as Macrium Reflect and EaseUS Todo Backup and they seem to use proprietary image formats.

Will CD imaging software such as ImgBurn work for HDD/SSDs?

Otherwise, any recommendations?

There is no standard ISO image for HDD/SSD...
You can use DD for unix or windows to make and/or restore a uncompressed bit perfect copy of the drive, but it's still not ISO,it's just a RAW dump.

I have used Acronis True Image quite a few times to image entire drives or IIRC any set of partitions thereof. There's a free download that works if you have a Western Digital drive in use on the machine, IIRC even an external HD. I have all manner of WD drives!
