After I disk defrag and view report, it usually gives me a list of files that do not defrag. Is there a way to get them to defrag? Can these files cause problems for my computer?
from what i know some files are not moveable, (that's what defrag does, puts files u use more in the front (outer track of HD) and organizes files in order so they load faster). I think every computer has some files like that.
I dont think they would cause any problems.
usually the event logger files in windows 2000 aren't touched because theyre in use at the time and I believe its the same with your ntuser.dat file, if you want to defrag that all you have to do is login to the computer under a diffrent account and run defrag....
