I have a user with an Compaq Armada 1700. When booting she will either get a non-system disk error or a 1782 - Disk Controller Failure error. She says this started when the laptop screen was replaced, but I have no way of verifying that. The hard drive and motherboard have both been replaced.
What else could be causing this error and are there any diagnostic tools I can use to troubleshoot this further?
