Disk cloning for Win7 RC?

I hear Ghost won't work - is there a disk cloning software out that will work?

I have RC installed - bought a new HDD, need to clone over my C: drive.

Hmm. I am running the RC - Ultimate. I will have to check into this.

Thanks

Assuming you mean the "Backup and Restore' option, that may work - but a lot of steps. I am looking for a Win7-compatible Ghost-like app.

Backup/Restore are not cloning. I have Win 7 installed and cloned. (That means a duplicate drive, bootable and ready to go.) I did it with RC, and now RTM Ultimate. Software used? Acronis True Image 12 (a.k.a. 2009.) 11 will also work.

I prefer Acronis TI, Win7 *does* indeeed have a built in backup/image function..but ity beyond me why it doesnt allow selectin single disks/partitions.

If i were to image with the Win7 tool it wants to backup ALL, that is my 64GB system SSD as well as my 500GB data drive...and i cannot select that it only images my system. Stupid.

Might try clonzilla live cd?

Filesystem supported: ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, xfs, jfs of GNU/Linux, FAT, NTFS of MS Windows, and HFS+ of Mac OS. Therefore you can clone GNU/Linux, MS windows and Intel-based Mac OS, no matter it's 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x86-64) OS. For these file systems, only used blocks in partition are saved and restored. For unsupported file system, sector-to-sector copy is done by dd in Clonezilla.
